GARDENING ~ Nasturtiums Update ~ Replanting!

Perhaps our loyal readers have been wondering what happened with the little red "Pail of Posies" that Alisdair posted about way back on February 11th?

There has been no updated post because, for some strange reason, the seeds did not germinate, much to our disappointment!  After the 14-day germination period indicated on the packaging had elapsed, we kept watching and hoping that they were just slow to start growing.

We have now officially given up on the original seeds.  After the Lloydminster Homeschool Association meeting on Friday night, I was in Wal-Mart and found another packet of Nasturtium seeds.  So we are going to try again.  Hopefully we will have more success this time round and can post pictures, in a couple weeks, of the shoots emerging from the peat moss.  If this doesn't work, we'll have to plant the remainder of the seeds outdoors in our flowerbed.  After all, if you don't succeed at first TRY TRY again!!

Wish us luck!
